Chakra Music
What is Chakra Balancing Music?
It is music created with a particular goal in mind: to balance the chakras.
Our chakras can be open, under-active or over-active. An open chakra allows energy flow and is healthy, a closed chakra will not allow energy flow and we need to work over it, and over-active chakra might be so to compensate for a under-active chakra. If you don´t know how your chakras are, you can take this chakra test (but make sure you come back :) )
To balance each chakra we use meditation. There are special hand positions (called mudras); and particular sounds, colors and aromas for each chakra.
Chakra balancing music uses particular sounds to balance the chakras by themselves and connect different chakras creating an energy flow. Each chakra connects with a note, so there are different instruments used for chakra balancing, as well as more complex music, and natural sounds.
In this lens I´m going to give a general overview of the most common instruments and music, and also share with you some jewels, recommendation that Empath Zone members did in the forum based on personal experience.
Chakras and notes
Each chakra can be nurtured through a specific note:
Crown Chakra: Note B
Third eye Chakra: Note A
Throat Chakra: Note G
Heart Chakra: Note F
Solar Plexus Chakra: Note E
Sacral Chakra: Note D
Root Chakra: Note C
Some instruments, like singing bowls almost seem to be designed for chakra balancing. Being normal notes, they can actually be played in any instrument. Flutes seem to be particularly good for chakra work.
Singing bowls
Singing bowls are standing bells (they look up and rest over a pad or the hand), and the sound is activated by rubbing the border, usually with a mallet, in steady circular motion.
The most common material is metal, but there are some beautiful sets in crystal with a pristine sound.
Variations in the sound can be achieved adding water to the bells, this changes the resonance.
Metal Singing bowls
Singing bowls are multiphonic instruments; that is, they produce multiple harmonic overtones at the same time. The material of the metal bowls is an alloy consisting of multiple metals, each producing its own overtone. New bowls can also produce multiple harmonic overtones if they are high quality bronze, but many are made from a simpler alloy and produce only a principal tone and one harmonic overtone.
The quality of the bowl depends on the quality of the alloy and the aging process. The tone improves as they age, this is why antique bowls are so appreciated.

Crystal Singing bowls
Crystal singing bowls have a pristine sound, and they are the favorites of artists and chakra therapists. They are more expensive than the metal ones and require much care to be handled.
In chakra therapy with singing bowls, the bowls are resting over the clients body who experience the vibrations at a more physical level.

Solfeggio Frequencies
Solfeggio frequencies are, as the singing bowl, harmonics of the main notes. They can be traced in history to the Ancient Gregorian Chants. In chakra meditation, we can use the connection between the frequencies and the main notes to balance the chakras.
The main Solfeggio Frequencies include:
C - 396 Hz - Liberating Guilt and Fear - Root Chakra
D - 417 Hz - Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change - Sacral Chakra
E - 528 Hz - Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair) - Navel Chakra
F - 639 Hz - Oneness - Heart Chakra
G - 741 Hz - Finding your Path - Throat Chakra
A - 852 Hz - Awakening Intuition - Third eye Chakra
B - 963 Hz - Returning to Spiritual Order - Crown Chakra
For example, the third note, frequency 528, relates to the note E; this note in the Latin scale is MI, which derives from the phrase "MI-ra gestorum" in Latin meaning "miracle." To make things even more interesting, this is the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA - the genetic blueprint upon which life is based. This note acts over the Navel Chakra, the one in control of self awareness (ruled by the question: who am I?).
Some prefer to start in even lower frequencies to warm up better. Empaths usually have issues with root chakra. To start in 174 MHz and go up is a good way to achieve balance.
Solfeggio frequencies meditation
The frequencies go up as the chakras go up. If you listen to the full set, you have a full chakra balancing session.
Chakra balancing music
Chakra balancing music uses the concept of notes connected with chakras to create music that works deep into each chakra and moves the energy around in a fluid and healing manner. Most are inspired in Eastern music.
